Our Guiding Principles

I, the new owner of the shop since August of 2006, am not a mechanic by trade.  That being the case, I always felt ignorant about auto repair and never really knew if I was being taken advantage of when I took my vehicle in for repairs.  I always felt like I was being talked down to and was made to feel like an idiot many times.  I also felt that the costs associated with some repairs appeared outrageous, but could never get an apples to apples estimate from competing shops.  I absolutely hated this.

Now, I am on the opposite side of the coin and vowed to treat my clients the way I would have liked to be treated.  That is why I created the principles listed below to guide how we operate our shop.  If you have any questions or would like to address any of them specifically with me, please call the shop and ask for Rafael.

1. We call our customers clients.  I want you to understand that it is important to us to develop a long-term relationship with you, not just a short term buck.
2. We’ll do our best to explain things to you in a manner you can understand, and not in mechanic talk.
3. We’ll take you into the bay to look at your car together so that you can see the problem with your own eyes.
4. We’ll be completely honest in our evaluations with you.
5. We will not tell you that you have to do something.  That is your choice.
6. We will do our best to offer choices when possible, and prioritize jobs to help you budget.
7. We will strive to keep the shop, lobby, and bathrooms clean and make your wait as comfortable as possible.
8. We will take care of your vehicle while we have it.
9. We will not perform any work without your permission.
10. We back up our work.  If we make a mistake we will fix it.
